RC Lens have written their names into the history books by lifting the Coupe de France for the first time following a clinical 3-1 victory over OGC Nice at the Stade de France.

Florian Thauvin broke the deadlock with a crisp left-footed strike in the 25th minute, before setting up Odsonne Édouard’s deflected header to put Lens in complete control.
Although Djibril Coulibaly pulled one back for Les Aiglons just before the interval, Abdallah Sima poked home late in the second half to seal a momentous victory.
The triumph provides a fitting climax to an incredible debut campaign under manager Pierre Sage, who was recently named the UNFP Ligue 1 Manager of the Year.
Sage also successfully guided the energetic Sang et Or to a stunning second-place finish in the league, effectively securing UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.
