Maria Moran was mentally threatened by Real Madrid fans

In the match Real Madrid beat Almeria 4-2 in round 32 of La Liga (April 29), Vinicius was shown a yellow card. Notably, this is the 10th time the Brazilian player has received a yellow card in La Liga this season. In total, Vinicius received 15 yellow cards in all competitions from the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign (10 in La Liga, 1 in the Champions League and 4 in the King’s Cup).

Because of the 10th yellow card, Vinicius was suspended in the match Real lost to Sociedad in the 33rd round. In a recent interview, Maria Moran – a female reporter for Gol TV and beIN Sports, asked a question regarding Vinicius for Coach Ancelotti.

Maria Moran asked: “Do you think Vinicius should receive a red card to learn from his repeated actions against the referee?”.

In response, coach Ancelotti said: “No, you don’t need a red card. With all the yellow cards he’s received, I think that’s enough.”

Because of the above provocative question, Maria Moran became the target of Real Madrid fans’ attack. In recent days, the Spanish female reporter has been constantly receiving messages threatening to kill and rape. Even Real Madrid fans even threatened Maria Moran’s 18-month-old daughter.

To protect herself, Maria Moran reported the incident to the Spanish national police. In addition, the ex-girlfriend of the Dutch goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen also shared threatening messages on social networks. Thanks to that, Maria Moran received much support from colleagues and fans around the world.
