Photos of the Premier League footballer with a gold-coloured balloon alongside several friends are thought to have been put on BeReal.
The cannisters, which look similar to those which contain nitrous oxide, are placed on the table.
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a legal high that is taken through inhalation.
It is unclear when or where the photos were taken, The Sun reports.
The image comes as the government announces plans to make possession of nitrous oxide illegal.
Taking too much can cause nerve damage, heart issues and possibly death as users can suffocate themselves if they fall unconscious.
The move is part of a pack of measures designed to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

In the United Kingdom, nitrous oxide is the second most prevalent drug among young adults aged 16 to 24 years, after cannabis, according to the European Union drugs monitoring agency EMCDDA.
Former Three Lions midfielder Alli has not featured in the England team since he was left out of the Euros squad in 2020.
He has suffered a series of injuries after his transfer from Tottenham to Everton.
He was on loan to Turkish side Besiktas, but another injury ended his stint there after he scored two goals in 13 games.
