Manchester United youngster, Kobbie Mainoo will miss England’s upcoming games in the October international break as a result of injury.
The midfielder is part of the squad assembled by the Three Lions technical team for the games against Greece and Finland in the Uefa Nations League this month.
Today, the England FA has issued a statement indicating that Kobbie Mainoo has been forced to withdraw from the Three Lions quad as a result of injury.
The talented midfielder is one of three England players who will miss the upcoming matches.
“Morgan Gibbs-White, Ezri Konsa and Kobbie Mainoo will miss England’s October internationals.
“The trio all sustained injuries for their respective clubs over the weekend and have been ruled out of the Three Lions’ UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland,” the England FA announced.
The development means 22 players are in the camp of the Three Lions at St. George’s Park.
It is understood that there are currently no plans to invite players to replace the injured players.
England will host Greece at Wembley on Thursday, October 10, before taking on Finland on October 13.
