Federico Chiesa looks likely to end his time at Liverpool as reports from Calciomercato suggest that the Italian winger is preparing to return to Serie A after a challenging season in the Premier League.
Chiesa, who joined Liverpool from Juventus for a fee of £12.5 million, has struggled to make an impact, largely due to injuries and fitness issues, limiting him to just 25 minutes of Premier League action.
Liverpool are now considering parting ways with the 27-year-old as his performances have not met expectations. Napoli, under head coach Antonio Conte, are reportedly interested in signing Chiesa as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Should the deal go through, Chiesa will hope to revive his career back in Serie A, where he previously found success before his move to England.
