Arsenal have contacted to recruit Italian player Jorginho from Chelsea in the closing days of the winter transfer window of 2023.
Chelsea want to sell Jorginho to avoid losing everything
As is known, one of Arsenal’s top recruitment targets this January transfer window is Caicedo. In an attempt to buy the Ecuador international, the Gunners sent Brighton 2 offers worth £60m and £65m with £5m in extra fees.
On the Brighton side, this team has twice refused Arsenal’s offer, although coach Roberto De Zerbi hinted at the possibility of selling Caicedo. In case of failure in this deal, the Gunners have considered option B.
According to transfer tycoon Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have suddenly turned to signing Jorginho. The Gunners have approached the Italian player, and contacted Chelsea and are ready to negotiate this contract if they cannot buy Caicedo.
On the Chelsea side, the Blues are also ready to let Jorginho avoid losing the 31-year-old midfielder in the summer of 2023. The former Napoli player’s contract with Chelsea is valid until June 2023.
However, Chelsea only accepts to sell Jorginho if it receives a reasonable offer. According to British media, the Stamford Bridge team wants to earn £ 40 million in this deal to put money to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
In the next 24 hours, Arsenal will officially send an offer to buy Jorginho to Chelsea if efforts to recruit Caicedo fail completely.
